These books would be great read-alouds for your classroom. Now… keep reading and I will share some websites that have book lists centered around Martin Luther King. Kids are sponges and great contributors to meaningful conversations, and these conversations are worth having! Let me know if you do either one of these activities! You could show how we all have different dreams and how we can encourage our classmates to chase their dreams. This also can bring up a great discussion of diversity and celebrating differences. This would be a fun morning work or writing activity that could later be shared with the class. Then, they will write what their dream is and include a drawing to represent their dream.
